Second of two suspects still at large

The mother and sisters of slain teenager Jordan Manners escaped uninjured when seven bullets were fired at them while they sat in the front yard of their North York home last week.

Loreen Small and her two daughters, in their 20s, were in front of their townhouse on Shoreham Court near Steeles Avenue and Jane Street last Friday, July 18, at about 4:30 a.m. when they were approached by a man and his friend.

Police alleged after one of Small's daughters rejected the man's advances, he began shooting in the women's direction.

Small and her daughters were not hit by the gunshots.

Police are searching for one suspect. Jason Michael Johnson, 23, of Toronto, is wanted for attempted murder, threatening death and possessing an unregistered restricted firearm.

Johnson, also known as Jesse, is described as black, six-feet tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue denim shorts.

Cameron Andre Richards, 31, surrendered to police Tuesday and is charged with two counts of threatening death.  He is known to frequent the area and is considered armed and dangerous.

Last week's shooting has left Small's family, still reeling from last year's murder of Jordan, shaken and apparently considering moving away from the neighbourhood.

The 15-year-old boy was gunned down in a school hallway at C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute the afternoon of May 23, 2007, becoming Toronto's first student shot to death at school.

The school held a moving tribute for Jordan in May to mark the first anniversary of his death, including planting a tree in his memory.

The school chose to plant a Forest Prince Serviceberry because Jordan was known as the Prince of Shoreham in his neighbourhood.
